Sanjeevani, a collective of over 16 NGOs, launched its state-level campaign “Chitta Par Chot” (Strike Against Chitta) with a workshop held on December 7, 2025. The initiative was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, who emphasized the importance of spreading the campaign across the state to protect youth from drug abuse.
Bollywood actor Krushna Abhishek, who has roots in Himachal Pradesh, has pledged his full support to the movement against Chitta (heroin). In a video message, Abhishek expressed solidarity with his home state, stating that he stands firmly with the people of Himachal in the fight for a drug-free society.
He extended special thanks to Sanjeevani President Mahendra Dharmani, Captain Atul Sharma, and the NGO’s dedicated team for their selfless efforts. Abhishek praised the campaign as a crucial step to safeguard the younger generation from the grip of drugs.
With the endorsement of a popular Bollywood personality, Sanjeevani’s anti-drug campaign is expected to gain fresh momentum and inspire wider participation across Himachal Pradesh.
