Shimla: Addressing a press conference at Deep Kamal Chakkar, BJP’s Election Officer Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj said, “Our party believes in democratic traditions and, under this, both the national and state presidents are elected through a democratic process across the country.
Under the leadership of our National Election Officer Lakshman, elections for booth, mandal, district, and state council have already been completed across the country. In Himachal Pradesh, elections have been conducted in more than 8,000 booths, 171 mandals, and 17 districts.”
“There are 114 delegates in Himachal Pradesh, whom we can also call voters for the BJP State President and National Council elections. We have published the election notification, schedule, and voter list at the BJP headquarters,” he added.
Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj said, “The election for the BJP State President and eight National Council members in Himachal Pradesh has been announced, and we have issued the notification. On 30 June 2025, nominations for the State President and National Council members will be accepted at the BJP headquarters, Deep Kamal Chakkar, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.
The scrutiny of these nomination papers will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. If there is more than one nomination, the time for withdrawal is set from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.”
He stated that on 1 July, the official announcement of the State President and eight National Council members will be made by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh at 11:00 am at Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla. During this event, along with Rajiv Bhardwaj, co-election chair Dr. Rajiv Sahajal and Sanjeev Katwal will be present.
