Bilaspur :
An inspiring and unusual sight was witnessed today in Bilaspur district as ordinary housewives—women who are often seen confined within the four walls of their homes—took to the streets under the banner of the Himachal Unemployed Youth Federation (HUYF). They marched to the DC office and submitted a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu.
These women voiced their firm stand, stating, “We do not want an exploitative Job Trainee Policy. It is an insult to the dreams and hard work of our youth.” They strongly urged the Chief Minister to immediately withdraw this policy.
Speaking with both emotion and strength, the housewives declared that when mothers and sisters themselves step onto the battlefield, the government must no longer ignore the voices of the youth.
Shrey Awasthi, State Coordinator of HUYF, wholeheartedly thanked the courageous women of Bilaspur for their unwavering commitment and dedication, stating that their stand has added a new strength to the movement and shown the entire state that this fight is now being led by every section of society — from students to mothers.
HUYF representatives, while handing over the memorandum, also warned that if the government continues to disregard the interests of the youth, the movement will escalate in scale and intensity in the coming days.
