SINHUTA (Chamba): The annual prize distribution ceremony at Green Field Public School here turned into a vibrant celebration of excellence, graced by the presence of Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania. He honored the school’s high achievers in academics, sports, and cultural activities, emphasizing the importance of holistic development in shaping future-ready citizens.
Addressing a gathering of students, parents, and local residents, Pathania underscored the need to balance academics with extracurricular pursuits. He highlighted how such activities help students develop into well-rounded individuals, better equipped to thrive in any career they choose. “Education is more than just textbooks; it’s about equipping oneself with life skills to achieve success,” he remarked.

Pathania also used the platform to address the growing problem of substance abuse. Calling it a grave issue, he urged students, teachers, and parents to collectively pledge against drug use and work together to spread awareness about its harmful consequences.

He noted that efforts are being made to ensure equal opportunities for underprivileged students to pursue higher education. He also praised private institutions like Green Field Public School for fostering a spirit of competition that pushes students toward excellence, resulting in remarkable achievements at both regional and national levels.
Lauding the school’s commitment to all-around development, Pathania noted the exceptional performance of its students in academics, sports, cultural events, and science exhibitions. As a gesture of encouragement, he announced ₹31,000 to promote cultural activities and pledged funds for the establishment of a computer lab.
