The Swami Shri Rajeshwaranand Bharti Nursing Training Institute, Kakira organized its annual convocation ceremony, with Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania attending as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Pathania praised the institute’s contribution to medical education in the Bhatiyat constituency and highlighted the quality healthcare being provided through its multi-specialty hospital. He assured that postgraduate nursing classes would be introduced in the near future and expressed hope that the institute would eventually establish itself as a medical college.
Pathania emphasized that the profession of healthcare is the finest form of humanitarian service. Extending best wishes to the graduating trainees, he said he was confident they would bring pride to the state and the nation through their service across the world. He also announced a grant of ₹40,000 for the institute’s cultural programs.

The ceremony began with the traditional lamp-lighting, followed by a formal welcome and felicitation of the chief guest by the principal and trust members. Principal Dr. Kanta Ajay Kumar presented the annual report, outlining the institute’s achievements. Students showcased vibrant cultural performances during the event.
Outstanding performers in GNM, ANM, and B.Sc. Nursing examinations were honored. Suneha Rana, who secured first position in the state in GNM first year, received a cash award of ₹15,000, while Shalu Devi, ranked fourth, was awarded ₹5,100. In ANM second year, Priya was recognized with a ₹5,100 prize for securing the top state position. Several other meritorious students and participants in extracurricular activities were also felicitated.
The event was attended by dignitaries including Krishan Chand Chela (Director, HP State Forest Corporation), Vijay Kanwar (former Block Congress Committee President), Surender Chadak (Vice President, Nagar Panchayat Chuwari), Ajay Kumar (Director, Wool Federation), local representatives, senior officials from health, forest, PWD, Jal Shakti, HPSEBL, and other departments, along with institute trainees, residents, and members of the Swami Shri Harigiri Charitable Trust.
