Dharamshala: – A shocking incident of suspected homicide has been reported from Garoh village on the outskirts of Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, where a 45-year-old man, identified as Vineet Kumar, was found dead under gruesome circumstances on Monday.
According to initial police information, the deceased, a married man and father of two sons, was discovered by his elder son lying in a pool of blood with severe injuries. The scene prompted immediate police and forensic intervention, with investigation teams scouring the area for evidence.
Police sources indicated that the murder is suspected to have occurred around noon. The incident has sparked discussions in the village regarding the deceased’s personal life, though police have not confirmed any motive so far.
A significant development in the case is the untraceability of the deceased’s younger son, whose mobile phone is switched off and motorcycle is missing.
While this has led to speculation within the community, Superintendent of Police Kangra, Hitesh Lakhanpal, urged caution against drawing conclusions prematurely.
“As the younger son is currently untraceable, some locals are speculating about his possible involvement, but there is no evidence to substantiate such claims at this stage,” SP Lakhanpal told The Newz Radar.
As of the filing of this report, police were continuing their search for the murder weapon and exploring multiple angles, including family disputes and other possible motives.
Forensic experts have been deployed to examine the crime scene and collect material evidence.
The incident has caused widespread panic in the otherwise peaceful locality, with security in the surrounding area heightened.
Police have appealed to the public for cooperation and for any information that may assist in the investigation.
