Kangra: As the sacred festival of Navratri begins, a free medical camp has been set up at the historic Shri Mata Brajeshwari Devi Temple in Nagarkot, Kangra, offering a blend of spirituality and public service. The camp, running from September 22 to October 2, 2025, is being organized by Sant Baljit Singh Maharaj’s Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra, Nawan Nagar, Nanakpura (Haryana).
The camp is designed to provide free medical consultations, medicines, and diagnostic support to devotees and local residents who throng the temple during the festive period. Doctors, paramedical staff, and volunteers are stationed at the venue to ensure seamless service to thousands of pilgrims arriving from across Himachal Pradesh and neighboring states.
Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Bhanuj Pathania said, “Navratri is a time of devotion, reflection, and service. Setting up this medical camp at the revered Brajeshwari Devi Temple is our way of giving back to society. Many devotees travel long distances to seek blessings during this period, and it is important to ensure that their health needs are not overlooked.”
Organizers said that the camp will not only provide first-aid and general consultations but also focus on preventive healthcare awareness, with special emphasis on women’s and children’s health.
The timing of the camp coincides with the spiritual fervor of Navratri, when lakhs of devotees converge on Kangra to pay obeisance at the temple, considered one of the most significant Shakti Peeths in India.
With spirituality at its heart and service as its mission, the medical camp stands as a reminder that festivals are not only about rituals but also about compassion and community welfare.
