On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Eco Club “Goria” conducted a collective cleanliness drive at the Government College of Teacher Education (GCTE), Dharamshala. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from all students of the 2025–27 batch and was held under the guidance of Principal Aarti Verma.
In her address, Principal Verma emphasised that campus life and student development are deeply interconnected through diverse experiences that extend beyond academics. She highlighted the role of residential arrangements, clubs, and co-curricular activities in shaping essential life skills such as time management, responsibility, and social engagement. She also noted that the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 supports vibrant campus life, and GCTE Dharamshala is among the most beautiful campuses in the state.

Club Coordinator Prof. Yugraj Singh praised the 2025–27 batch for their joyful spirit and sincere efforts toward environmental stewardship. He added that such activities foster a sense of shared responsibility and collaboration between students and faculty, contributing to the aesthetic and ecological enrichment of the campus.
The club plans to organise large-scale campus beautification drives every Saturday of each month. Students are already informed about their designated areas and responsibilities through their regular schedules. Looking ahead, the campus will be further enhanced with the planting of perennial and seasonal winter ornamental plants.

Faculty members including Dr. Anoop Kumar, Dr. Abhyudita Gautam, Prof. Lekhraj, Dr. Atul Acharya, Prof. Ankur Mahajan, Prof. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Atul Thakur, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Priyanka Kapoor, and other teaching staff actively participated in the collective cleanliness campaign.
