In a significant step towards promoting environmental awareness, Himachal Dev Sena on Friday launched an awareness song titled “Jungle Rote Hain”, aimed at sensitising people about the growing threat of forest fires and the urgent need for conservation.

The song was formally released by Pulkit Gulati, IFS, an officer of the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, during a programme organised by the team. The initiative seeks to highlight the ecological importance of forests and encourage public participation in their protection.

According to the organisers, the song has been specifically designed to address the alarming increase in forest fire incidents across the state. Through its message, it underscores that forests are not merely clusters of trees, but a vital foundation for human life, biodiversity, and environmental balance.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Himachal Dev Sena emphasised that forest fires not only lead to massive loss of forest wealth but also pose a serious threat to wildlife and disturb ecological equilibrium. They expressed confidence that “Jungle Rote Hain” will strike an emotional chord with the public and play a meaningful role in spreading awareness.

Addressing the gathering, Pulkit Gulati urged citizens to refrain from activities that may trigger forest fires and to actively educate others about the consequences of such incidents. He stressed that collective efforts are essential to effectively tackle this recurring environmental challenge.

The organisation also appealed to the public to take responsibility for preserving nature and contribute towards safeguarding forests for future generations.

Among those present at the event were Himachal Dev Sena founder Manish Vats, president Teja Thakur, and Mandi district president Sarita Handa.

The initiative, aligned with the message “Hamari Sanskriti, Hamari Pehchan”, is being seen as a commendable effort towards building a greener and more sustainable future.
