Dharamshala: The Dharamshala Spring Carnival-2025 has been a spectacular success, drawing thousands of visitors with its electrifying performances and vibrant festivities.
As the event nears its end, all eyes are now on the sixth-day celebrations, set to take place on Wednesday (February 12, 2025) at the Dari Mela Ground in Dharamshala.
Kumar Sahil to set stage ablaze
After five nights of enchanting musical acts, renowned singer Kumar Sahil is gearing up to take the stage on Day 6.
Known for his soulful voice and captivating stage presence, Sahil has earned a massive following with his fusion of traditional melodies and contemporary hits. His upcoming performance is expected to be one of the highlights of the carnival, drawing music lovers from across the region.
Having performed at major platforms, Kumar Sahil’s versatility has made him a crowd favourite.
Performance by Harmony of the Pines leaves audience spellbound
The Himachal Pradesh Police’s musical band, Harmony of the Pines, delivered a breathtaking performance on Day 5, leaving the audience spellbound.
Blending Himachali folk with contemporary fusion, the band has carved a niche for itself in the Indian music industry. Their performance at the carnival was a testament to their musical prowess, earning them thunderous applause.
Established in 1996 as a stress-relief initiative for police officers, the band has since evolved into a cultural phenomenon. Their journey to fame includes becoming finalists in the talent show ‘Hunarbaz Desh Ki Shaan’ and being honoured as brand ambassadors for the Election Commission of India.
The group also holds the rare distinction of being featured on an Indian postal stamp, a proud moment for Himachal’s music fraternity.
Beyond music: A shopper’s and foodie’s delight
While the music remains the carnival’s main attraction, the sprawling festival grounds continue to offer a feast for the senses.
Visitors are indulging in a wide array of delicacies, from authentic Himachali dham to street food favorites like momos, chaat and kebabs. Meanwhile, shopping enthusiasts are making the most of the stalls featuring woolens, handicrafts, jewellery and wooden artifacts.
AC Bhardwaj to close carnival on Feb 13
With the final two days promising more excitement, the stage is now set for a grand culmination. Following Kumar Sahil’s performance on February 12, the carnival will conclude with a high-energy act by AC Bhardwaj on February 13.
Organised by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), the Dharamshala Spring Carnival-2025 has once again proved why it remains one of the most cherished cultural festivals in the region.
