The Divine Scholar Convent School at Jwali in Kangra organised a vibrant Rangoli competition to mark Diwali, the function bringing students together in a display of colour and creativity.

Each class participated enthusiastically, with students bringing a variety of Rangoli colours from home and crafting beautiful designs, charts and festive cards. The students also decorated small shop displays, adding a festive touch that captivated everyone in attendance.

Following the competition, Principal Surendra Kaundal shared the story of Lord Shri Ram’s return to Ayodhya after 14 years in exile, when the people of Ayodhya lit ghee lamps to celebrate his homecoming.

He reminded the students of the values Diwali imparts — respect for parents and elders and the importance of family.

The Rangoli competition concluded with Class 7 securing first place, Class 4 in second and Class 3 in third. Teachers wished the students a joyous Diwali and celebrated the occasion by distributing sweets.
