Strict Exam Rules: MCQs Only on OMR Sheets

Students appearing in the upcoming Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (+2 State Open School, Science stream) examinations must exercise extreme caution. Board Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma has made it clear: multiple-choice questions (MCQs) will be evaluated only if marked on the OMR sheet.

Any answers written in the main answer booklet — even by mistake — will not be checked, resulting in a zero score for those questions. Responsibility for such errors will rest entirely with the examinee.

To ensure smooth conduct of exams, the Board has introduced stricter monitoring of question paper distribution, especially for +2 SOS Direct Science papers. Center superintendents and deputy superintendents have been instructed to study the distribution rules carefully and enforce them without exception, preventing confusion inside exam halls.

Additionally, exam staff must announce and explain these rules clearly to students before the test begins. The Board emphasized that under exam pressure, students often tick answers in the wrong place, wasting their effort. Advance warnings are therefore considered a primary duty of staff, ensuring transparency and error-free evaluation.
