Continuous Action Against Drug Trafficking – 200 Grams of Charas Seized, Two Arrested

Nurpur Police achieved a major success in their ongoing campaign against narcotics on the night of February 11–12, 2026. During routine patrolling and naka checking near the Lurh Bridge, the police team intercepted a Skoda car (registration number HP-01C-3118) and recovered 200 grams of charas.

In connection with this seizure, two individuals have been arrested:

  • Dinesh Sharma alias Nikki, son of Dhidhadhar, resident of Badi village, Post Office & Tehsil Tissa, District Chamba (H.P.)
  • Anil Kumar, son of Kanta Ram, resident of Digram village, Tehsil Tissa, District Chamba (H.P.)

A case has been registered under FIR No. 44/2026 dated 12.02.2026 at Police Station Nurpur under Sections 20, 25, and 29 of the ND&PS Act. The vehicle used in the crime has also been taken into police custody.

Further investigation is underway as per legal procedure. The Nurpur Police reaffirm their commitment to maintaining zero tolerance against drugs and will continue their campaign relentlessly.
