Dharamshala: As part of the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) programme, a proactive initiative was taken in Dharamshala’s polling center, Bhagsunag-2.
Under this initiative, efforts are being made to educate the public about voting at polling stations with historically low turnout rates, ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Sanjeev Kumar , the SDM of Dharamshala, highlighted the importance of engaging voters in these areas to increase voter participation.
The rally witnessed active participation by residents. The SVEEP team, led by nodal officer Amit Katoch, along with other officials, emphasized the civic responsibility of exercising one’s right to vote.
They also provided detailed information on the electoral process and urged voters to ensure their names are listed in the voter list. Additionally, citizens were encouraged to motivate others in their communities to participate in the democratic process.
