Dharamshala: Kangra District Election Officer Hem Raj Bairwa informed that eligible voters who have been omitted from the voter list can register their names until May 4 for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Registration can be done through the BLO or online portal. Additionally, an awareness campaign has been initiated to inform voters in Kangra district.
Those excluded from the list are urged to contact their booth level officers with necessary documents such as a colorful passport-sized photo, Aadhar number, age, and residence proof copies. The officer emphasized the importance of ensuring all eligible voters, including those previously registered, have their names listed. Verification of name inclusion can also be done on the department’s website.
The National Voter Service Portal also offers e-registration facilities. The public is encouraged to utilize this final opportunity for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and exercise their voting rights. Efforts to increase voter turnout are underway, including awareness programs at various levels, to maximize voter participation in the electoral process.
