MANDI: Meena Bedi has stepped into her role as the District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) in Mandi, marking a transition from her previous tenure in Una district.
Hailing from Hamirpur, Meena Bedi brings along a wealth of experience, having served as information officer in Shimla and held the position of District Public Relations Officer in Hamirpur. Her dedication to public service was evident during her tenure of two and a half years in Una.
Her recent transfer from Una to Mandi coincides with Sachin Sangar’s shift from the DPRO position in Una to Mandi. Meena Bedi’s journey in the Information and Public Relations Department commenced in 1987 in Hamirpur, where she held various roles, including assignments in the Directorate in Shimla, the District Public Relations Officer’s Office in Shimla, Bilaspur and Una.
Expressing her commitment to fostering closer ties with the media, Meena Bedi emphasised the importance of timely information dissemination. Her proactive approach aims to ensure that the media receives comprehensive updates promptly.
