Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress president Pratibha Singh appointed election in charge for four parliamentary constituencies – Mandi, Kangra, Hamirpur, and Shimla – for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Sunday. She also appointed party leaders for publicity, publication, and administrative tasks.
State Congress general secretary Rajneesh Kimta issued a notification regarding these appointments. According to the notification, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has been assigned the responsibility for Hamirpur, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Vikramaditya Singh for Mandi, Minister for Agriculture Chander Kumar for Kangra, and Minister for Education Rohit Thakur for Shimla parliamentary constituency.
Additionally, Industries Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan has been given the responsibility for publicity and publication, while Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi has been assigned administrative and coordination duties.
The Congress party is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections. However, the announcement of candidates’ names has not been made by the party so far. The high command has directed the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee to prepare for the election campaign.
