Shimla: BJP MLA Randeep Sharma raised the issue of the Naina Devi Ropeway project in the question hour during the Assembly session.
Urban Development Minister Rajesh Dharamani expressed concern over the proposed ropeway to the Mata Naina Devi temple not being built. He said that one end of it was supposed to be in Punjab, but there was some problem there.
There are two projects of Bilaspur in the Parvatmala project. It does not include the Naina Devi. This is very important. As soon as the consultant’s report comes, action will be taken on it. The point towards Punjab will have to be changed. It will have to be made in Himachal Pradesh instead of Punjab.
BJP MLA Reena Kashyap demanded the construction of the Habban-Churdhar ropeway. In response, Dharamani said that it has been sent to the Parvatmala project. He said that a proposal for a road has also been made in Bharmaur.
After this, in his supplementary question, BJP MLA Sharma said that a ropeway project was prepared between Anandpur Sahib and Naina Devi. Then the government changed in 2013, and it was changed. After this, a proposal to build a ropeway from Kaulangwala Toba has been made. It should be made.
This will give a message of unity and brotherhood. Sharma said that a new plan has been started after the change of government. The government should not politicize this project. Above the government’s talks, those who have signed the MOUs with the Punjab government should be promoted.
