CHAMBA: Mukesh Repswal, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2015 batch, has taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Chamba district.
Before assuming charge as the Chamba Deputy Commissioner, Mukesh Repswal was working as the Director, Information Technology Department, Himachal Pradesh Government.
Earlier, he has served on important posts such as the SDM of Chopal (Shimla district), SDM of Dharampur (Mandi); Special Secretary, Education; Special Secretary, MPP and Power; and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chamba.
After assuming the charge of Chamba Deputy Commissioner, he has expressed his priority in ensuring the all-round development of the district and successful implementation of public welfare schemes, policies and programmes being implemented by the government.
He said that the state government had made efforts for destitute children. “Priority will be given to providing employment to the youth through schemes like Chief Minister Sukhashraya Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Startup, etc,” he said.
The Deputy Commissioner also said that along with better education system, efforts will be made for better implementation of various departmental schemes for equal and balanced development in rural areas and upliftment of poor and backward classes so that the benefits of various schemes could reach the last person.
