NSUI absent, ABVP Announces Candidates for Central University Student Elections

Dharamshala: While, youth wing of Congress is absent from Central University of Himahcal Pradesh, its Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) that declared its candidates for the upcoming student union elections. With enthusiastic slogans of “Jai Bhawani,” ABVP representatives from various departments were announced on November 30, 2023.

Ritik Patial, the Unit President of ABVP Dharamshala, shared that elections will be held on December 6, emphasizing the importance of student representation in addressing campus issues. ABVP, since its establishment in 2009, has been a prominent voice advocating for student concerns and contributing to the development of the university.

Patial also highlighted the challenges faced by the student body, citing attempts by “rain-soaked frogs” to infiltrate the university premises. Last year, despite such challenges, ABVP emerged victorious in the elections, and this year, they aim to repeat their success.

Unit Minister Heena Verma addressed the students, assuring them of ABVP’s commitment to resolving student issues and maintaining their proactive approach in the future. She urged all students to participate in the upcoming elections and not overlook the opportunity to make their voices heard through the student union.

The media and communication department will be represented by Aviral Pandey, the language department by Ashutosh and Hemraj, education department by Diksha Dogra, commerce and management by Manu Rathore and Gaurav Kapoor, tourism department by Anurag Sood, and yoga department by Payal Vibhagiya as student representatives in the ABVP. Verma concluded by urging students not to abstain from voting and assured continued dedication to addressing all student concerns.
