Gram Sabhas were organized in several panchayats including Ichhi, Nadehar, Abdulapur, Sahoda, and Baidi, where APMC District President, State Congress OBC Department leader, and 20-Point Programme District President, Chaudhary Narendra Nishu Mongra, actively participated.

During the sessions, Mongra directed departmental officials to ensure timely submission of reports and instructed officers to mark their presence in every Gram Sabha. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that Gram Sabhas, held once every three months, are crucial platforms where villagers present proposals that accelerate development works.

Highlighting government initiatives, Mongra informed that under the Mera Parivar Sukhi Parivar Yojana, eligible women will benefit from financial support and insurance coverage of ₹10 lakh. He added that he would meet the Chief Minister to request an extension of the scheme’s deadline so that more women can avail its benefits.

He also noted that the provision requiring women under MGNREGA to work three mandatory days has been revised by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, making the scheme more flexible.

Appealing to the public, Mongra urged villagers to participate actively in Gram Sabhas to ensure their voices are heard and to give momentum to local development projects.
