Key Discussions on Welfare Schemes, Sanskrit Institutions, and Community Support

The Tehsil Brahmin Sabha Nurpur convened its meeting at Bhagwan Parshuram Bhavan, Vinay Gali, Nurpur, under the chairmanship of Sabha President Shri Inder Pal Sharma.
During the session, members discussed recent cleanliness drives and repair works undertaken in the premises. The President also shared updates from the Himachal Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Board meeting held in Shimla. Key issues raised included:
- Extending the free uniform scheme to children from the general category.
- Increasing the number of Sanskrit institutions in the state.
- Raising the annual income limit for economically weaker Brahmin families from ₹4 lakh to ₹8 lakh.
He informed members that these matters were attentively heard by the Chief Minister, who assured action on the proposals.
The Sabha also expressed joy and extended congratulations to Nurpur resident Dinesh Kumari Dogra for being honored on an international platform in Athens for her work on Chamba Rumal. A formal resolution of good wishes was passed in her name.
On this occasion, members contributed shramdaan (voluntary labor) to maintain cleanliness of the premises and roof.
