Revenue, Horticulture, Tribal Development and Public Grievances Minister Jagat Singh Negi chaired a meeting of the Integrated Tribal Development Project Advisory Committee at the Mini Secretariat, Patti, to review ongoing development works. Local MLA and committee vice-chair Dr. Janak Raj was also present.
Negi directed officials to identify sensitive stretches along National Highway‑154A and key tribal roads for tunnel construction proposals, urging the National Highways Authority and PWD to expedite action. For the convenience of pilgrims during the Shri Manimahesh Yatra, it was decided that the Forest Department will construct a new pedestrian path from Hadsar to Yamkund (near Tosh Goth), with PWD preparing the estimates.
Reviewing road projects, the minister instructed that all revenue entries be ensured. Officials reported that under PMGSY Phase‑IV, surveys in 76 villages have led to 17 roads worth ₹130 crore now under construction, with DPRs prepared for 15 more roads and processes underway for 44 others. DPRs for 15 bridges costing ₹183 crore have also been completed.
Negi also reviewed works under CAMPA and CAT plans, directing afforestation on dumping sites and vacant lands. Expressing dissatisfaction with current horticulture and agriculture practices, he asked departments to jointly hold awareness camps so that farmers, orchardists, and livestock owners benefit from government schemes. He further instructed the administration to ensure availability of essential medicines at Civil Hospital Bharmaur.
The meeting also assessed progress in water supply, power, transport, fisheries, rural development, youth services, and tourism. Negi emphasized inter‑departmental coordination to accelerate development and ensure benefits reach eligible people effectively.
Officials including Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal, ADM Vikas Sharma, SDM Ajay Kumar Singh, SE Jeet Singh Thakur, Forest Officer Rajnish Mahajan, Tourism Officer Rajiv Mishra, and representatives from horticulture, animal husbandry, transport, and other departments attended.
