Three-Day Teacher Training Programme Concludes at Maharishi Vidya Mandir School, Khatehar

The three-day in-house training programme for teachers at Maharishi Vidya Mandir School, Khatehar, Dharamshala, concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from 18 teachers. The programme began with Guru Pujan and meditation, setting a reflective tone for the sessions.

On the first day, Dr. Preeti Singh from Central University, Dharamshala, delivered a lecture on “Indian Knowledge Tradition and the Values of Education.” She emphasized that the Indian Knowledge Tradition integrates knowledge with morality, discipline, and life values, which can be effectively woven into education to support holistic personality development.

The second day featured Dr. Anurag Sharma, Principal of Galaxy Public School, Nagrota Surian, and President of the Principals’ Association. He guided teachers on topics including “Importance of Training in the Light of NEP,” “Promoting Health and Wellness Among Students,” and “Value Education.” He stressed that the National Education Policy (NEP) calls for holistic development, requiring equal focus on academics, health, emotional well-being, and ethical values.

On the third day, Mr. Aditya Sharma from Army Public School conducted a session on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Thinking.” He explained the fundamentals of AI, its applications in education, and how computational thinking can make teaching more engaging and aligned with modern needs.

The programme concluded with a cultural event in which teachers participated enthusiastically. Certificates were distributed to all participants.

School Principal Mr. Arun Kumar Sharma expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the training and encouraged teachers to apply the knowledge and skills gained to enrich their classroom practices.
