In a major action under the ongoing campaign against proclaimed offenders, the PO Cell of Police District Nurpur has arrested Pawan Kumar (29), son of Kishan Chand, resident of Kandwal, Tehsil Nurpur, District Kangra.
The accused had been declared a Proclaimed Offender by the Hon’ble JMFC Indora on April 9, 2024, in connection with FIR No. 175/2020 dated November 13, 2020, registered under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC at Police Station Damtal.
On August 7, 2026, the accused was produced before the Hon’ble JMFC Indora. As per court orders, he has been remanded to judicial custody and lodged in Sub-Jail Nurpur.
Police District Nurpur has reaffirmed that its campaign to apprehend proclaimed offenders will continue with full force.
