On Tuesday morning around 8 a.m., a private bus traveling from Chanju to Chamba became stranded in the middle of Kandhla Nala on the Tissa–Chamba road. Continuous heavy rainfall has caused the water level in the nala to rise, preventing the bus from moving forward and sparking serious concerns for the safety of its passengers.
Local residents have appealed to the administration to urgently deploy JCB machines and other necessary equipment to the site. They stressed that immediate action is needed to rescue the bus safely and avoid any potential mishap.
Persistent heavy rains in the region have already disrupted traffic and raised water levels in streams and roads. Authorities have advised people to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve.
