Gaggal (Kangra): Local small-scale traders and professionals from Gaggal have voiced their concerns regarding the ongoing relief and rehabilitation process linked to the expansion of Kangra Airport. While options for rehabilitation are being discussed with shopkeepers in Gaggal village, traders and professionals in the Gaggal market remain uncertain about the government’s plans for their future.

Accompanied by Gaggal’s Deputy Pradhan Ravindra Baba, the traders met Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania to present a memorandum highlighting their issues. They stressed that the absence of clear rehabilitation measures for small-scale businesses and professionals has become a matter of serious worry.

Responding to their concerns, Pathania assured the delegation that he would personally visit Gaggal in the coming days to gather detailed information from the traders and professionals. He further promised to convey their issues directly to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and extend all possible support to safeguard their interests.

The traders expressed hope that the government will take concrete steps to ensure fair rehabilitation and provide sustainable solutions for small-scale businesses affected by the airport expansion project.
