On the occasion of World Environment Day, the 14th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Jassur, Tehsil Nurpur, District Kangra, organized a large-scale tree plantation drive under the supervision of Shri Praveen Kumar Tiwary, DIG (NBR). The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation and spread awareness about building a greener, more sustainable future.

The campaign saw enthusiastic participation from officers, subordinate officers, rescuers, and their family members. A total of 600 saplings were planted within and around the battalion campus, including Arjun (150), Shisham (150), Amla (150), Baheda (50), Lasoda (50), Kachnar (46), and Guava (04).
Addressing the gathering, Shri Tiwary emphasized the importance of collective efforts in environmental protection. He highlighted that tree plantation is one of the most effective ways to combat climate change, reduce pollution, and ensure a clean and healthy environment for future generations.
The drive reflects the 14th Battalion NDRF’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability and its responsibility towards society. The programme concluded with all participants pledging to continue working for environmental conservation and to protect and enrich nature.
