In a major breakthrough, Nurpur Police have arrested another accused linked to the heroin (chitta) trafficking case at Raja Ka Talab. The arrest was made following technical analysis and backward & forward linkage investigation, strengthening the crackdown on the drug network.
Details of Arrest:
- Accused: Narendra Kumar alias Vicky (36), son of Shri Devaraj
- Residence: Village & Post Office Ghadjarot, Tehsil Jawali, District Kangra
- Charges: Arrested under Section 29 of the ND&PS Act
On May 18, 2026, the CIA team of Nurpur Police had seized 10.14 grams of heroin from Ritesh Kumar near Guru Kripa Car Bazaar, Raja Ka Talab, during a naka operation. Subsequent interrogation and technical investigation revealed that Narendra Kumar alias Vicky played a key role in financing and procuring the narcotics.
The case (FIR No. 47/2026, PS Rehan) has now expanded with this second arrest, as police continue to connect the dots of the drug supply chain.
Nurpur Police reaffirmed their commitment to dismantling the narcotics network through backward and forward linkage investigations, ensuring that every link in the chain is exposed and eliminated.
