World TB Day was observed in Bharmour Block with a special awareness program organized under the chairmanship of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. Dipesh Baral. The event witnessed the participation of health department staff, local residents, and other dignitaries.
During the program, Dr. Baral provided detailed information about tuberculosis (TB), describing it as a contagious disease that can be completely cured with timely diagnosis and regular treatment. He urged people to seek medical attention immediately if they experience symptoms such as persistent cough, fever, night sweats, or unexplained weight loss.
He further highlighted that the government provides free testing and treatment facilities for TB patients, ensuring effective control of the disease. The gathering was educated about preventive measures, and a collective appeal was made to work towards building a TB-free society.
The program concluded with a strong message of cooperation and awareness, reinforcing the community’s commitment to eliminating TB.
