Responding to a special request from the Women’s Group of Khani, the Horticulture Department Bharmour organized an awareness and training camp in the tribal area’s Gram Panchayat Khani.
The camp was attended by Dr. Manohar Lal, Horticulture Officer Bharmour, who highlighted the importance of value addition of local fruits and vegetables. Around 50 women participated in the program, where they were informed about various departmental schemes and trained in methods of processing, preservation, and enhancing the market value of locally available produce to generate income.
During the session, participants requested the department to arrange exposure visits to fruit processing (canning) units in the future. The department assured them that such opportunities would be provided soon.
At the conclusion of the camp, the president of the Women’s Group expressed gratitude to the Horticulture Department, noting that such training programs are proving highly beneficial for rural women
