The monthly crime review and police welfare meeting of Nurpur Police District was convened today under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police (SP) Shri Kulbhushan Verma. The meeting was attended by all gazetted officers, Station House Officers (SHOs), and in‑charge officers of police posts across the district.
Focus on Police Welfare
During the welfare session, the SP emphasized the importance of addressing the personal concerns of police personnel, challenges faced during duty, and departmental issues. He assured that all such matters would be resolved on priority to enhance efficiency and boost morale within the force.
Crime Review & Directives
To strengthen law and order, the SP issued strict instructions to SHOs:
- Awareness Campaigns: SHOs were directed to conduct special awareness drives in panchayats, schools, and colleges to educate youth about the harmful effects of drugs and the risks of cybercrime.
- Drug Prevention: Quality investigation of NDPS cases, financial probes, and strict action under PIT NDPS were stressed.
- Law & Order: Officers were ordered to ensure speedy disposal of pending cases and take firm action against illegal mining.
Recognition of Excellence
Outstanding police personnel were honored for their commendable contributions:
- Indora Police Station was recognized as the cleanest and most organized station in the district.
- ASI Suresh Kumar from the SP Office, Nurpur, was named Employee of the Month for his dedication.
- Officers and staff who excelled in field duty received appreciation certificates.
