Around 65 students from the Physics Department of Govt. Arya Degree College, Nurpur (B.Sc. 2nd and 3rd year) visited the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Nurpur to gain practical exposure to technical trades. The educational tour provided enriching hands-on learning opportunities and valuable insights into the world of technical education.
Objectives of the Tour
- To familiarize students with ITI courses and facilities
- To understand the practical applications of technical trades
- To develop skills and interests in technical fields
Activities and Learning
- Students observed and participated in welding and fabrication processes, learning different welding techniques and safety measures.
- They gained knowledge about the working of Lathe machines, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes, and gear systems in automobiles.
The tour proved to be a valuable experience, equipping students with practical knowledge and skills beyond classroom learning.
Acknowledgments
The students expressed gratitude to Principal Mr. Chain Singh Rana and the staff of Govt. ITI Nurpur for their cooperation. The tour was coordinated and supervised by Ms. Shashi Bala (Assistant Professor) and Ms. Alka (Assistant Professor), who accompanied the students.
