Nurpur Police Cracks Down on Illegal Mining: Vehicles Seized in ‘Zero Tolerance’ Drive

Under its strict ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy against illegal mining, the Nurpur Police conducted a major operation targeting unauthorized mining and transportation in different parts of the district. The campaign, carried out late at night and continuing into the morning, led to decisive action against multiple vehicles involved in illicit activities.

The joint operation was successfully led by SHO Nurpur, Chowki In-charges of Kandwal and Gangath, along with their special teams. Intensive raids were conducted in Kandwal, Khanni (Chakki Khadd), and Gangath areas.

During the operation, eight vehicles were found violating mining regulations: 2 JCB machines, 4 tippers, and 2 tractors. These vehicles were immediately seized by the police at the spot. The challans were issued at Mokam Billa Ka Tala (6 vehicles), Kandwal (1), and Gangath (1).

The Nurpur Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order and emphasized that illegal mining will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Officials confirmed that special drives will continue, and strict action will be taken against anyone violating the law in the future.
