Narcotics Crackdown in Nurpur: 21.08 Grams Heroin Seized, One Arrested

Nurpur Police have intensified their campaign against drug trafficking, registering three cases under the ND&PS Act in the past two days.

As part of this ongoing drive, on January 22, 2026, police from Damtal Station conducted a patrol in Mohatli. During the search of a residential house belonging to Saloni alias Cheedi, daughter of Nanak Chand, resident of village Sirat, Mohatli, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra, officers recovered 21.08 grams of heroin (chitta).

Following the seizure, a case was registered at Damtal Police Station under Sections 21, 61, and 85 of the ND&PS Act. The accused has been arrested in accordance with legal procedure, and further investigation is underway.
