The seven-day special NSS camp organised at Government College Bharmour concluded with a dignified ceremony. The chief guest, Retired Deputy Director of Education Shri Pyar Singh Chadak, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
On the occasion, NSS Programme Officer Shri Sugreev Kumar presented a detailed account of the various service activities, awareness campaigns, cleanliness drives, and training sessions conducted during the camp.
Adding vibrancy to the event, NSS volunteers along with other college students showcased colorful cultural performances that enthralled the audience.
College Principal Dr. Hemant Pal, in his inspiring address, urged the volunteers to imbibe the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, and social service learned during the camp into their daily lives. He emphasized that NSS is a powerful medium to strengthen the spirit of nation-building and community service among youth.
The ceremony also witnessed the felicitation of participants who excelled in various activities and sports competitions held during the camp.
The event was graced by Shri Swaroop Kumar, Dr. Rajendra Singh, Shri Vishal Ahir, Dr. Arvind Kumar, Shri Naresh Kumar, Shri Vivek Kumar, along with the entire non-teaching staff, all of whom expressed appreciation for the volunteers and shared their joy at the camp’s success.
