A program marking the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda was organized at the Jalpa Temple premises in Maihla, under the aegis of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.
National President of the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram project, Satyendra Singh, highlighted Birsa Munda’s struggle, his service to society, and his role in awakening the tribal community. He said that Birsa Munda’s inspiration continues to guide society even today.
Bharmour–Pangi MLA Dr. Janak Raj emphasized that the identity, culture, traditions, and rights of the tribal community must remain paramount. He acknowledged the significant contribution of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram in safeguarding these values. He added that resolving public issues and accelerating development requires joint efforts by both society and the government.
The event witnessed large participation from local residents, social representatives, and devotees.
