Dalhousie and Bakloh Cantonment Boards Conclude ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa – 2025’ Campaign with Community Pledge

The Dalhousie and Bakloh Cantonment Boards successfully wrapped up the nationwide “Swachhata Hi Sewa – 2025” campaign on October 2, aligning with the Government of India’s mission for a cleaner, garbage-free nation and sustainable sanitation practices.

Observed from September 17 to October 2, the campaign saw enthusiastic community participation and a series of impactful activities under the themes “Garbage-Free India” and “Plastic se Raksha, Swachhata hi Suraksha.”

Key Initiatives Undertaken:

  • Mega Shramdaan drives for plastic and solid waste collection
  • Awareness rallies across residential areas, schools, and marketplaces
  • Tree plantation drives to enhance green cover
  • Door-to-door campaigns promoting waste segregation at source
  • Recognition of sanitation workers for their frontline contributions

On the concluding day, Souvik, IDES, Chief Executive Officer of the Dalhousie and Bakloh Cantonment Boards, felicitated sanitation workers with certificates and mementos, acknowledging their unwavering dedication.

“The success of Swachhata Hi Sewa in Dalhousie and Bakloh reflects the tireless efforts of our sanitation workers and the wholehearted participation of the community. Cleanliness is not just a campaign but a continuous responsibility,” said CEO Souvik.

The campaign culminated in a pledge-taking ceremony, reaffirming the Boards’ commitment to sustainable cleanliness, plastic waste reduction, and greener surroundings in the Cantonment areas.
