MANDI: From the serene hills of Himachal Pradesh to the glamourous stage of the Miss Universe India pageant, Ravitanya Sharma is scripting a remarkable journey of grit, grace and growth.
Born in Mandi and brought up in Shimla, the 25-year-old author, model and entrepreneur is now among the top 53 finalists competing for the coveted Miss Universe India 2025 crown in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Representing Punjab as the reigning Miss Universe Punjab 2025, Ravitanya is no stranger to the spotlight. Having already won multiple beauty pageants across Himachal Pradesh and later clinching the prestigious Miss Navi Mumbai 2023 title, her rise in the world of pageantry is both well-earned and widely applauded.

Academic excellence meets artistic elegance
A consistent academic topper, Ravitanya completed her early education at Shimla’s premier institutions like Convent of Jesus and Mary Chelsea, Loreto Convent Tara Hall and St Bede’s College before earning her MBA degree. Today, she splits her time between Kharar in Punjab and Mumbai, balancing her creative pursuits with her growing business ambitions.
Ravitanya is also a published author, having written her first book, Life is Beautiful, at just 16. With her second book already in circulation and a third one underway, she stands out as a rare voice in today’s pageant circuit — someone who speaks not just with confidence, but with substance.

Her journey in the world of fashion and media is as dazzling as it is inspiring. Ravitanya has featured in digital campaigns for renowned global beauty brands such as Dove, Nykaa, Tresemmé and Lakmé, all while promoting a deeper message of empowerment and individuality.
Her message has earned her numerous accolades, including the Women Power Award from the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and the Swami Vivekananda Pratibha Samman from the former Governor, recognising her contribution to women’s empowerment, youth motivation and social awareness.
On the road to Miss Universe India 2025
On International Women’s Day, she urged women to become self-reliant, prioritise their health and take pride in building their own identities, a philosophy she lives by and inspires others to embrace.
Now in Indore, where the Miss Universe India 2025 pageant is currently underway, Ravitanya is undergoing intense grooming and training along with the 52 other national finalists. The pageant — jointly organised by the Glamanand Group and K Sera Sera Box Office — will culminate in a grand finale on August 17, 2025, showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity and modern talent.
The event is being supported by Lakmé Academy as its official beauty education partner and includes traditional, evening gown and personality rounds alongside cultural performances.
