SADA Meeting in Beed Baijnath Focuses on Tourism, Infrastructure, and Environmental Protection

Baijnath : A crucial meeting of the Special Area Development Authority (SADA) was held at the Gram Panchayat office in Beed, Baijnath, under the chairmanship of SDM Baijnath and SADA Chairman Sankalp Gautam. The meeting extensively discussed key issues related to the development and management of the region, with a strong focus on tourism infrastructure, environmental conservation, and local amenities.

Tourism and Infrastructure Development

Officials deliberated on enhancing tourism facilities, including the identification of a suitable site for a nature park to boost tourism and benefit locals. A survey report on the proposed site will be submitted soon. Additionally, measures were discussed to improve parking facilities, restrict parking near the paragliding landing site, and take action against unauthorized constructions in the area.

To further support tourism, the meeting emphasized the installation of mats at the paragliding take-off site, solar lighting, construction of entry gates, and paved pathways. Road repairs and beautification efforts were also prioritized to enhance accessibility and visitor experience.

Environmental Protection and Cleanliness

The SDM directed officials to maintain cleanliness in the SADA area and complete infrastructure projects within deadlines to accelerate development. A strong emphasis was placed on environmental protection, increasing green spaces, and enforcing a ban on single-use plastic to ensure a clean and sustainable environment.

Expansion and Governance of SADA

Discussions also covered restructuring the SADA house to include representatives from newly added panchayats and wards, expanding the special area, and revenue generation strategies. Budget allocation for various projects, including the nature park and paragliding site beautification, was also reviewed.

SDM Sankalp Gautam stressed the importance of prioritizing tourism and local citizen facilities in the Beed Billing area, ensuring swift implementation of proposed plans for sustainable development.

Key Officials Present

The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Raman Thakur, SADA supervisor Ranvijay, member secretary and assistant town planner Nishant Sharma, junior engineer Divyani, forest ranger Anjana, BTS and TKIS officials, and representatives of concerned panchayats.

With a clear roadmap for development, the SADA meeting reinforced its commitment to transforming Beed Baijnath into a thriving tourism hub while ensuring environmental sustainability and improved local infrastructure.
