Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government College Hosts Annual Sports Competition

Takipur: The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government College in Takipur organized its annual sports competition, featuring a diverse range of athletic events. The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. K. S. Atri, the Principal of the Government College Takipur. In his inaugural address, Dr. Atri emphasized the significance of sports as a symbol of global camaraderie and human affection. He expressed that through sports, individuals draw closer to each other, fostering mutual brotherhood and unity. Dr. Atri highlighted the role of sports in promoting national pride and cultivating a sense of love and understanding.

Various competitions were held during the event, with notable results in different categories. In the 100-meter race for boys, Rithik Choudhary secured the first position, followed by Sahil in second place, and Robin Singh in third. The 100-meter girls’ race saw Sonakshi clinching the first position, Piyusha Thakur securing the second position, and Tanisha finishing in third place.

In the 200-meter races, Nikhil Dogra claimed the first position for boys, while Kashish dominated the girls’ category. The 400-meter races saw Priyanshu Choudhary and Kashish securing the top positions for boys and girls, respectively. Additionally, the 800-meter races witnessed remarkable performances from Priyanshu Choudhary and Anshika in the male and female categories, respectively.

The long jump competitions showcased the talents of Rahul Choudhary in the boys’ category and Abhishek Thakur in the girls’ category. The shot put competitions saw Rithik securing the first position for boys, and Piyusha Thakur dominating the girls’ category.

Awards for the best overall performances went to Rithik Choudhary for boys and Piyusha Thakur for girls. The event concluded with enthusiastic participation from the entire college community, reinforcing the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the students.
