Jogindernagar: A newly constructed bridge over Rana Khud at Machhyal, a key religious site in the Jogindernagar Assembly constituency of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh, has been officially opened to the public.
The bridge, built at a cost of Rs 8 crore, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu during his recent visit to Jogindernagar.
The new infrastructure has significantly improved traffic flow along the vital Jogindernagar-Sarkaghat-Ghumarwin road, facilitating smoother vehicular movement and benefiting devotees visiting the revered Baba Machhindranath temple.

Bridge design with aesthetic appeal
The 40-metre span, double-lane bridge is constructed in an elegant bowstring arch style, making it visually striking. With the commencement of traffic over the bridge, even heavy and goods vehicles can now travel on the Jogindernagar-Sarkaghat-Ghumarwin route without difficulty.
The bridge has already begun to benefit the large population residing on both sides of this crucial road. Its aesthetic design has become an instant attraction for motorists, while also serving as a new landmark for devotees and tourists visiting Machhyal.

The unique design of the bridge is drawing the attention of both pilgrims and tourists alike. Devotees visiting Baba Machhindranath, including Pradeep Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Vinod Kumar and Prakash Chand, expressed their admiration for the bridge, stating that its striking architecture immediately draws the eye. Many visitors have been seen taking photos and selfies with the bridge, which offers stunning views of the entire Machhyal complex from its vantage point.
Machhyal has long been a major religious and tourist destination in the region, attracting millions of pilgrims annually to the sacred Baba Machhindranath temple. The significance of the area is underlined by its use as a filming location for Hindi movies. Each year, several international tourists also visit the site to explore its religious and cultural heritage.
