Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama received a heartfelt welcome upon his arrival from the US at Kangra airport in Himachal Pradesh.
The Dalai Lama was greeted by the leadership of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), members of the Tibetan community and numerous of his supporters.
The spiritual leader, who recently underwent a successful knee replacement surgery in New York, appeared in good spirits as he stepped off the aircraft. The crowd, filled with monks, nuns and well-wishers, offered traditional welcome as a mark of respect and reverence.
The CTA leaders expressed their gratitude for the Dalai Lama’s safe return, emphasising the importance of his presence for the Tibetan people. The Dalai Lama, known for his teachings on compassion and peace, waved to the gathering and acknowledged their support with a warm smile.
“The arrival of His Holiness was not just a moment of spiritual significance but also an occasion of deep emotional connection for the Tibetan community. We all were eagerly awaiting his return. The atmosphere at the airport was one of joy and reverence, reflecting the deep bond between the Dalai Lama and his followers,” said a monk.
