Una: In a tragic incident near the Jajon area of Una, nine people lost their lives, and two others are still missing after their car was swept away by floodwaters. A heartbreaking video, shared by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, captures the final moments of the passengers as they tried desperately to survive.
The victims were traveling in an Innova (HP12J – 2142) on their way to a wedding when they encountered rising floodwaters. As the car became surrounded by the rushing water, the passengers began to panic. They rolled down the windows and started shouting for help, hoping someone would hear their cries. They also kept blowing the car horn, trying to attract attention.
But as the floodwaters continued to rise rapidly, the situation became more dangerous. Water began to pour into the car, forcing the passengers to close the windows in a last-ditch effort to keep the water out. Despite their efforts, the powerful currents soon took control, sweeping the car away before anyone could come to their rescue.
