Himachal weather update: State to experience bad weather for next six days

Himachal Pradesh is bracing for a spell of bad weather over the next six days, with a forecast of rain in various parts of the state from June 26 to June 28.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, the weather will remain clear in the plains and mid-hill areas, except the high mountainous regions, from June 23 to June 25. A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms in some areas during this period.

On Saturday afternoon, Shimla witnessed a drizzle, signalling the onset of the predicted weather pattern. The rainfall over the last 24 hours has led to a significant drop in the maximum temperature, providing some respite from the heat.

Rainfall measurements recorded on the previous day include 36 mm in Mashobra, 11 mm in Jot, 9 mm in Dalhousie, 8.2 mm in Kufri, 5.4 mm in Kandaghat and 4.5 mm in Kukumseri.
