YouVAH, established in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, began with a state-level campaign called “Mission Digital Coronaware” led by Lalit Kumar Dogra, an NSS President Awardee from Kangra. The success of this initiative inspired the formation of YouVAH to provide a platform for youth from all 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh to contribute towards community development and nation-building.
The organisation’s mission focuses on youth engagement in community services, skill development, and the promotion of Himachali culture. Key ongoing projects include “Mission Saksham” for organ donation promotion, “Mission Gyanodya” for the collection and donation of old books, and “Mission Jal Jeevan Abhiyan” for the revival of ancient water sources. Notably, more than 100 water wells have been successfully revived under this mission since its launch in 2019.
YouVAH remains dedicated to channelising the energy of the youth in a positive direction, fostering a spirit of volunteerism, and contributing to the welfare and development of the community.
