Prevent UN General Assembly from being super-spreader event: US
In order to prevent the UN General Assembly from becoming a “super-spreader event” for COVID-19, the US has urged world leaders to deliver their statements by video instead of travelling to New York. The US also requested delegations attending UNGA in-person to bring a minimum number of travellers necessary.

“I am clearly against voluntarily accepting more people…That won’t happen on my watch,” Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. He opposed taking in any more people fleeing Afghanistan now that the Taliban have seized power. He said that Austria has already accepted 40,000 Afghans in the past.

After violent clashes took place between Israeli border troops and Palestinian protesters, Israel Defence Forces said four Hamas weapons and manufacturing units were bombed by fighter jets. A 13-year-old Palestinian boy was critically injured after being shot in the head as Israeli troops fired at Palestinian protesters.
