Mandi: A 47-year-old woman was crushed to death when a boulder fell on the vehicle in which she was travelling alongwith five others on Wednesday afternoon in between Pando and Mandi.
The deceased Promila Devi, wife of Ram Singh hailed from m village Runjh in Khatindi tehsil of Mandi.
The ill-fated vehicle, bearing registration number HP 33E-9028, was being driven by Yashpal (her nephew), with Promila Devi seated in the front next to him. As the vehicle approached the Bindravani-bypass tunnel, tragedy struck.
Yashpal rushed Promila Devi to Mandi Hospital, but doctors declared her brought dead. The driver and the other three passengers sustained minor injuries during the incident.
The police has registered the case and handed over the body to the relatives after the post mortem.
