Want to see Gadkari in same role, ready to work with Kangana: Vikramaditya

Mandi: Following his first press conference since his recent election defeat, cabinet minister Vikramaditya Singh outlined his determination to fulfill his campaign promises to his constituents.

In a surprising move, Singh expressed his readiness to collaborate with Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut to advocate for development initiatives from the central government for their state.

“I am committed to bringing transformative projects like a smart city to Mandi and implementing a 24*7 water supply scheme in this region,” Singh affirmed, underlining his proactive approach to governance.

Singh further revealed his aspiration to witness Nitin Gadkari, the Minister for National Highways, assume a similar role in the Modi government, expressing his eagerness to engage with him to advance infrastructure projects in the state.

The press conference, held at the Rajmahal hotel, drew a significant turnout of Congress supporters eager to engage with Singh.

A closed-door meeting ensued between Singh and officials from the urban development ministry, indicating a strategic focus on policy formulation and implementation.

Reflecting on his electoral setback, Singh adopted a pragmatic stance, asserting, “Elections are transient; my commitment to serving the public remains unwavering.”

Addressing the aftermath of recent calamities on the National Highway, Singh underscored the urgency of fortifying routes such as the Kamand-Kataula and Pandoh-Chailchowk roads. He pledged expedited measures to enhance their resilience.

Singh also highlighted the issue of traffic congestion in Mandi city, urging the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to expedite the opening of the Mandi tunnel, constructed as part of the Kiratpur-Manali four-lane project, to mitigate urban traffic congestion.
