Pratibha Singh likely to contest from Mandi

The family of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh met Congress general secretary KC Venugopal in Delhi on Tuesday.
Son of the six time chief minister and Shimla (rural) MLA Vikramaditya Singh and former Member of Parliament Pratibha Singh apprised Venugopal of the party’s status and activities in the state.
Political circle abuzz Discussions have gained momentum in the political arena in the state after their visit to Delhi.
It is assumed that the election for the Mandi parliamentary seat would take an interesting turn if Pratibha Singh contests from this seat since she has been an MP from the same constituency in the past. She is also expected to be a tough opponent for the BJP.
Pratibha Singh is also likely to contest the by-election from the Arki assembly constituency. Vikramaditya Singh and Pratibha Singh have already indicated that they will be contesting the by-elections.
Meanwhile, the Congress has pinned its hopes on Pratibha Singh and wants her to contest from the Mandi parliamentary constituency.
